idle3-tools software package provides change the idle3 timer of recent Western Digital Hard Disk Drives, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install idle3-tools
idle3-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the idle3-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep idle3-tools *
